Bay St. Louis
Geoff Kergosien,PT-Clinic Director
Geoff Kergosien is the clinic director of our Bay St. Louis site and he joined Accelerated Physical Therapy in December 2006. Geoff earned his B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama in 1986 and he has been healing outpatient orthopaedic clients since.
Geoff's practicing interest is in manual therapy and he has attended too many continuing education courses to list; he loves to treat sports injuries, knees and shoulders as well as spinal problems. Don't let Geoff's easygoing manner and compassionate nature fool you, he is one to push you to achieve your best.
Geoff is a native of Bay St. Louis and is married to Molly and they have two children. When he is not cheering for the Saints he can be found on the water or working on his classic convertible. Geoff is an accomplished woodworker and has been featured in the "Home" section of the Sun-Herald newspaper.
Deborah Richter,Billing/Collections Manager
Deborah is a native of New Orleans and has lived in Waveland since 1990. She has over 13 years experience in the medical field and before that worked for the City of Waveland. When you have a question about your insurance payments, amount of deductibles, co-pays, etc. Deborah will sit with you and answer all of your questions.
Deborah is married to Terry and she has two daughters and one grandson. She looks forward to "Cruising the Coast" each fall and spends as much time as possible on the water fishing or pleasure crafting.
Trish Shoemake,PT Technician
Trish has worked for over four years with our company and will be able to assist you with your needs during our visits. She will help make the time pass quickly while helping you achieve your best.
Trish is originally from Laurel, MS and has lived on the Coast since 1998. She has one grown son and enjoys spending her free time by playing the guitar, fishing and crabbing and walking on the beach with her Yorkshire Terrier, Reno.
Susanne Mayley,Front Desk
Susanne is the pleasant person who will greet you at our front desk, assist you with your needs and schedule your appointments.
A native of Texas she has lived in Bay St. Louis since 1996. She and her husband David owned a pest control business in Bay St. Louis for the past twelve years until they recently sold their interest. Prior to that she has fifteen years of experience in the medical field as an office manager. She and her husband, David, have 2 children, 3 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren. She loves to travel, hiking, biking and spending time with her family.
Diamondhead
Matt Capo,PT, President
Matt Capo is the President/Owner of Accelerated Physical Therapy and established the framework for the commitment to patient care that are the clinics' hallmarks. Matt graduated from Iowa State University in 1985 with a B.A. in Speech Communication and entered the workforce in Chicago as a corporate pension plan representative. He suffered an injury while playing rugby football and discovered his calling to be a therapist while he was rehabilitating.
Pursuing his new profession, he earned his degree in physical therapy from the University of South Alabama in 1995. Matt sharpened his skills by treating clients in the outpatient setting for the next five years before opening Accelerated Physical Therapy in April 2000. During his years of practice he has been voracious in his attendance of continuing education courses with primary emphasis on back and neck dysfunctions, manual therapy and medical exercise treatment techniques.
Matt is a native of North Versailles, Pennsylvania (just outside of Pittsburgh) and he is married to Diane, a native of Waveland, MS, and they have four children. He has lived in Hancock County since 1997 and has been a resident of Diamondhead since 2000. Matt is a keen fan of rugby football, having played for a National Championship team as well as touring the US and Europe with various select side clubs. He is an avid fisherman, stalking coastal species and at night you will often find him knee-deep in the Gulf "gigging" flounder.
Tammy Hufft,Front Desk
Tammy takes great pride in ably assisting with your insurance questions, scheduling appointments, and making sure to always brighten your day with a smile.
Tammy is a native of Waveland and now resides in Diamondhead. She is engaged to A.J. with a wedding scheduled for the near future. She considers no mall a stranger and enjoys viewing the latest movies. Photography and music are her hobbies and she loves to spend time with family and friends.
